Jammu, July 11 -- The much awaited Rs 55 crore Naigard water supply scheme sanctioned during Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress Government some eight years ago has failed to bring respite for the people of Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas from water crisis.

The water supply scheme fell prey to alleged official inefficiency as the multi crore water supply scheme had developed technical fault soon after its completion and the same is yet to be rectified even after its test run eight months ago.

As per the details available with Early Times, the 32 kilometers long water supply scheme which was supposed to give major relief to the people of Kishtwar got stuck mid way as the officials of PHE department, now rechristened as "Jal Shakti," along ...
