At a time when the debate on "Mein Bi Chowkidar" campaign has taken the center stage in ongoing Parliamentary election, the real Chowkidars (Village Headmen) and Watchmen who are important revenue functionaries have recently vented their anger against Jammu and Kashmir Government for their failed promises to pay them enhanced salaries which was agreed by the previous BJP-PDP coalition regime.
Speaking to "Early Times" a village Chowkidar on conditions of anonymity said that Prime Minister of India wants to lure people by using their name ,whereas he totally remained ineffective to bring the poor village Lumberdars and Chowkidars out of abject financial distress.
