Jammu, Nov. 27 -- Contrary to the tall claims of the founders of the much talked about Gupkar Alliance, leaders of this amalgam are fighting against each other in the District Development Councils (DDCs) elections.

Despite announcement of 'seat adjustment' with Gupkar Alliance, Congress leaders are fighting elections against amalgam candidates at several places, thus making alliance as 'farce'.

Former Minister and Congress stalwart, Taj Mohi-ud-Din is fighting election from Uri in North Kashmir's Baramulla district against the Gupkar Alliance candidate. Same is the situation in some other areas of the Valley where Congress is the main rival of either PDP or NC.
