Jammu, June 14 -- Proposal of the Power Department to install pre-paid meters in Jammu has drawn flak amidst the prevailing power crisis in summer months.
Residents of different areas while talking to Early Times said, "We are facing immense hardships due to unscheduled power cuts amidst the scorching heat. Before installing prepaid meters the officials of the Power Department should check whether the post-paid meters have been installed in all the areas or not?"
They said, "It's strange that in the Power Department half of the Jammu city and its outskirts has laid cables while in the other half still service lines are being used. There is no uniformity. Persons devising such schemes should be nominated for Padma Bushan. One fails to unde...
