India, June 11 -- Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), on Monday granted a certificate of accreditation to Maruti Suzuki's upcoming Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM) in Uncha Majra, Gurugram, Haryana.

Akimasa Ishikawa, Hon'ble Vice Minister, METI, H.E Raj Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Tokyo, handed over the certificate to Mr Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Officer, Global Automobile Marketing, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, at a ceremony held at METI office in Tokyo.
