Pakistan, Jan. 14 -- The Sindh High Court on Wednesday expressed displeasure over the absence of the chief secretary and the home secretary as the court resumed hearing of a contempt of court petition over detention of four accused of Daniel Pearl's murder.

The high court had issued notices to the chief secretary Sindh and others in the contempt petition; however, they did not appear before the court. Superintendent Central Jail Hassan Sehto and special secretary home were present during the contempt hearing. "They don't know contempt proceedings against them are in progress in the court," the bench asked.
