Pakistan, Aug. 9 -- Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz was Thursday arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in connection with the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case from Kot Lakhpat prison where she was in a weekly meeting with her father and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

She was taken away in the presence of her father while her teenage daughter was also present there, said Dr Adnan, the personal physician of Nawaz Sharif, who was also present in the meeting.

The NAB had summoned Maryam on Thursday at 3pm in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills reference but she didn't appear before the watchdog.
