Pakistan, April 18 -- Sir, education empowers and builds a nation. The education system in the developed countries is based on grooming learner intellectually, physically and emotionally. In their schoolings, marks do not merit much, but creativity and conceptual understanding of the contents. Their schools have uniformed standards as well. We have a poor education system thanks to our obsession with marks, which turn students to use unfair means in examinations and political intervention. We have seen cheating at SSC and HSC examinations in Sindh.
Vigilance committees were set up to stop cheating in examinations but in vain.
