DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 23 -- INTERNATIONAL Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) may have its judicial works concluded by next year.

The United Nations (UN) established the Arusha and The Hague-branched mechanism to complete the remaining work of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) and International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia after completion of their respective mandates.

IRMCT President Carmel Agius broke the news at New York, USA when he met the UN General Assembly's 74th Session President, Ambassador Tijjani Muhammad-Bande.
