Sri Lanka, Jan. 16 -- Visitors to the National Zoological Gardens of Dehiwala are now allowed to feed the animals with permitted foods, Assistant Director Dinushika Manawadu said.The authorities of the zoo have taken this decision to prevent the visitors engaging in the unlawful feeding of the animals, she said.She further said, that those who are interested in feeding the animals can make a payment to the ticket counter and contribute to the permitted portion of meal for any animal.No outside foods are allowed to give to the animals under this method and only the foods issued by the zoo itself will be allowed, the Assistant Director pointed out.
