Sri Lanka, Oct. 17 -- All factories and private establishments have been advised to deploy only the Health Ministry recommended number of workers at their business establishments, said Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.

Referring to the special Gazette notification on the new Coronavirus preventive regulations issued by Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, he said those who fail to adhere to the safety measures listed in the Gazette notification face strict legal measures would be taken against those who fail to comply.

Accordingly, the courts will either sentence those who violate the orders to a prison sentence of six months or impose a fine of not more than Rs.10,000 or both.
