Sri Lanka, Aug. 19 -- Former State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera and two others were further remanded yesterday (18) till August 25 in connection with an alleged deed-forging for a plot of land in Kiribathgoda. The land is valued at around Rs. 20 million, and it had been vested with the government for development purposes.

The order was made by the Mahara Magistrate's Court No. 01 Magistrate Kanchana de Silva.

The suspects - former State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera, former Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha member Milroy Perera, and former parliamentary secretary to ex-Minister Mervyn Silva, Don Sarath Kumara Edirisinghe (also known as "Singapore Sarath") - were produced before Court via Skype technology.
