Sri Lanka, Oct. 19 -- "Those who spoke against Muslims earlier, now say they will safeguard Muslims and their rights."

"Therefore, such politicians should be rejected completely," said Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) leader and Town Planning, Water supply and Higher Education Minister Rauff Hakeem.

He was speaking at a political meeting at Kinniya, Trinclomalee recently.

Minister Hakeem said those who attend SLPP Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa's meetings said that Muslim community has been pushed to a difficult situation after the April 21 incident and they have ideas and plans to overcome this situation.
