Sri Lanka, Dec. 7 -- The accountant of a private company who was found guilty of defrauding over Rs.2 million from the company by presenting forged documents was yesterday sentenced to 367 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) by the Colombo High Court.

The case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Shashi Mahendran and the verdict was announced by Colombo High Court Mudliar Interpreter M.M.A. Afrar.

The accused, Hikkaduwa Liyanage Nandasiri was not present in court.

Therefore, the Colombo High Court Judge ordered that an open warrant be issued to arrest the accused and also ordered the accused to pay a fine of Rs.1.9 million.
