Sri Lanka, Jan. 15 -- What's happening to Sri Lanka's wildlife parks? Are they suffering from a bout of over-tourism? Over-tourism is the bane of big Japanese cities for instance. The authorities in Tokyo and elsewhere are advising tourists from Australia to visit the less visited, more remote cities and parks in Japan, as the traditional tourism trail is overcrowded with sightseers.
The Japanese as always are super-polite about it. They say every city needs tourism, but then they make a gentle nudge towards getting tourists to leave the beaten track.
