Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- Zimbabwe national cricket team stunned Sri Lanka national cricket team with a commanding six-wicket victory to remain unbeaten at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
Chasing 179, Zimbabwe held their nerve to reach 180/4 in 19.3 overs. Brian Bennett anchored the innings with a composed unbeaten 59 off 47 balls, while captain Sikandar Raza unleashed a decisive late assault, smashing 45 from just 26 deliveries. Their partnership sealed the win with three balls to spare.
Earlier, tournament co-hosts Sri Lanka posted 178/7 after being sent in to bat. Pathum Nissanka struck a well-compiled 62 at the top, and Pavan Rathnayake added 44 to keep the innings on track despite steady wickets.
