Srilanka, Feb. 11 -- Police have named former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's son, Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Daisy Forrest, also known as 'Daisy Achchi,' as suspects before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court and filed a case against them under the Money Laundering Act.
Police spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga said an investigation into Yoshitha Rajapaksa began in 2016, following the discovery of over Rs. 59 million in his bank account.
He said Yoshitha had failed to provide a reasonable explanation for how the money was deposited.
