Sri Lanka, Dec. 9 -- Warning of impending cyclones is not the opposition's job, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP S.M. Marikkar said today.

The MP was referring to a comment made by Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinge that the opposition should be held responsible for its failure to inform the details they were aware of about the recent cyclone.

"Can't Deputy Minister Jayasinge realise that he is a member of the government? He seems to be acting like an opposition member," the MP said.
