Sri Lanka, Nov. 24 -- Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has passed away at the age of 89. Media sources confirmed that he died in Mumbai, weeks after being discharged from Breach Candy Hospital following a period of medical treatment.
Dharmendra had been admitted to the hospital earlier this month and was on life support at one point, according to those familiar with his condition. He was discharged on November 12 and taken home with arrangements in place for his ongoing care. At that time, the hospital had said he was stable.
The actor, who would have turned 90 on December 8, had been under strict medical observation in recent weeks.
