Sri Lanka, Dec. 1 -- The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation said that large quantities of vegetables are now being collected from key supply regions in the Badulla District, including Welimada and Keppetipola.

Major varieties such as cabbage, carrots, and beans are currently arriving in bulk despite the challenging conditions.

The Ministry has requested trade agents transporting these vegetables to use the Ella-Wellawaya road, which is now open, to ensure uninterrupted movement of goods.

The ministry said that maintaining smooth transportation is essential to make vegetables readily available to the public during this difficult period.
