Sri Lanka, Dec. 7 -- A committee will be appointed on Monday to look into the United National Party (UNP) leadership matter, MP Harin Fernando said yesterday.
He posted this information on his twitter handle yesterday where he also expressed that Sajith Premadasa who has been named as the Leader of the Opposition would take up the party's leadership as well.
UNP seniors will meet to discuss the leadership matter on Monday and the committee to be appointed will comprise General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Kabir Hashim, Malik Samarawickrama and few others though the names are not finalised.
It was decided by the UNP parliamentary group on Thursday to finalise party reforms before the Christmas holidays.
