Sri Lanka, Sept. 8 -- The United National Party (UNP) has decided to work with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and other Opposition parties, its Chairman Wajira Abeywardena said in a statement today.

"The UNP is ready to enter into a joint programme which will be executed by an all-party committee or according to a similar mechanism," he said.

The party had a dialogue with the SJB and other parties in the recent past.

"We have also decided to work openly with the SJB," Abeywardena added.
