Sri Lanka, July 7 -- Former Minister S.B. Dissanayake said underwold activities in the country vanished soon after Acting IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon assumed duities.
He told reporters that a massive operation against the underworld was launched by Deshabandu, adding that the government must increase investigations, arrests and operations against the underworld to curtail it.
He said the development activities in the country will be hindered if the underworld is not controlled and added that foreign investors will be reluctant to invest in Sri Lanka.
