Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- Two persons, including a woman, were shot dead in Akuregoda a short while ago, police said.

According to police, the victims were inside a vehicle parked near a supermarket when they were attacked by unidentified gunmen. Both individuals died at the scene.

Investigations are underway to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the shooting.
