Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Conducting tuition classes targeting candidates sitting for the 2025 (2026) G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination will be prohibited from midnight on February 11, the Department of Examinations announced.

The Department stated that organising and conducting subject-oriented lectures, seminars, workshops, or classes related to the examination period will not be permitted. The printing of examination-oriented papers, distribution of so-called "guess questions," and publicity through electronic media, posters, and banners will also be banned.

Arrangements have been finalised to hold the 2025 G.C.E. O/L Examination from February 17 to February 26, 2026, at 3,545 examination centres islandwide.
