Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- Train services on the Eastern Line between Colombo Fort and Batticaloa have resumed, restoring an important transport link for commuters and travelers.

The Railways Department confirmed that operations are back to normal, ensuring safe and timely travel along this key route.

The resumption of services is effective from tomorrow (24), with the following schedule:

Colombo Fort to Batticaloa: Train No. 7083 departs from Colombo Fort at 6:00 a.m. to Trincomalee, reaching Galoya Railway Station at 12:40 p.m., and then continuing to Batticaloa as Train No. 6011.
