Sri Lanka, Sept. 1 -- A police constable was injured after a fall while attempting to flee the scene of an alleged sexual abuse at a massage parlour in Borella.

Police said the suspect was one of two men who had forcibly entered the establishment, intimidated the manager and four female employees, and allegedly sexually abused three of the women.

He fell from an upper floor during his escape and was subsequently arrested.

The injured suspect, who is currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital, Colombo under police guard, is a serving constable attached to the Police Special Bureau Headquarters.

The second suspect, who remains at large, is identified as a former police constable who had been dismissed from service.
