Kandy, Jan. 26 -- A three-wheeler driver was arrested by the Kandy Divisional Crime Investigation Unit for selling Rs. 4,000 worth two e-tickets of the Ella Odyssey train to two British women for Rs. 28,000.

The arrest was made following information received by the State Intelligence Services (SIS).

Police investigations have revealed that a driver attached to the tourism industry had given the two tickets to the three-wheeler driver to be sold to the two British women.

The three-wheeler driver had told the police that he also gets Rs. 5,000 for each ticket he sells in this manner.

Investigations have also revealed that he had engaged in the scam for a long time.
