Sri Lanka, Dec. 18 -- Three suspects connected to the death of an elephant in the Seeppukulam area have been remanded till December 24 by the Anuradhapura Magistrate's Court.
A post-mortem examination of the elephant was conducted on 17 December by Pandulagama Wildlife Veterinarian Udeshika Madhuwanthi, and the autopsy report is scheduled to be presented to the court tomorrow.
Following a fact report to the court regarding the incident, the Magistrate ordered statements to be recorded from a person recorded on video in connection with the burning incident and instructed that a detailed report on the suspects be submitted tomorrow.
