Colombo, April 1 -- Three Bangladesh nationals were arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for attempting to tavel to Greece with forged Greek resident visas.
The women aged 22, 23 and 25 were arrested while attempting to board Gulf Air flight GF-145 to Bahrain, scheduled to depart at 5:25 p.m on March 30.
Officals became suspicious of the Greek resident visas and handed over to the Immigration Department Border Surveillance Unit for further investigations.
The technical examination revealed that the Greek visas were forged using high technology methods.
The suspects were handed over to the BIA Criminal Investigation Department for further investigations.
