Sri Lanka, April 17 -- The students' group that led the protests against Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement (ADSM) or 'Students against Discrimination' (SAD) initially seemed like a beacon of hope-a platform dedicated to combating the pervasive social and institutional discrimination faced by various groups, especially students.
