Sri Lanka, Jan. 27 -- A tense situation was reported outside the Presidential Secretariat today as police moved to halt the continuous hunger strike launched by the Association of School Development Officers.
It was reported that several officials of the association are currently engaged in a life-threatening fast, while other members continue a sit-in protest at the site.
According to reports, a police notification calling for an end to the hunger strike led to heated exchanges between the protesters and law enforcement officers.
