Sri Lanka, June 25 -- Suspended Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon, testifying before the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee investigating the W15 Hotel shooting, said police had been searching for him in the wrong locations.

Tennakoon is one of nine individuals ordered to be arrested by the Matara Magistrate on February 28 in connection with the December 31 shooting near the W15 Hotel in Weligama, based on findings by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
