Srilanka, Feb. 17 -- At least 12 people, including 10 women, were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a van in Bopitiya, Kandaketiya.

Police said the accident occurred this morning on the Kandaketiya-Badulla main road.

The bus, travelling towards Badulla, collided with a van transporting apparel workers.

The injured individuals have been admitted to the Mahiyangana and Kandaketiya Hospitals.
