Sri Lanka, Sept. 3 -- The government has established a special Task Force dedicated to promoting Sri Lanka's tourism sector, with the aim of revitalizing the industry and generating direct income growth for the national economy, the President's Media Division said.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath said the Task Force will be vested with decision-making powers in relation to tourism promotion.
He made these remarks yesterday (02) during the inaugural session of the Tourism Promotion Task Force held at the Presidential Secretariat.
