Sri Lanka, July 18 -- A group of Sri Lankan officials, led by the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, is set to hold a virtual discussion with officials of the U.S. Trade Agency regarding the reduction of tariffs on Sri Lankan exports.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath said that a government delegation was scheduled to depart for the United States on Friday (18) to conduct negotiations on the matter.

However, the Ministry of Finance said today that the discussions will instead be held online, chaired by the Finance Secretary and involving other relevant officials.
