Sri Lanka, Dec. 26 -- Police yesterday arrested a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a former Vice Chairman of the Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha in Kotikawatta.

The arrest was made by officers of the Western Province Southern District Crime Division following investigations into the incident, which was reported on August 2, 2022, near the Mulleriyawa Hospital within the Mulleriyawa Police Division.

According to police, information received during the investigation revealed that the suspect had acted as the motorcycle rider who transported those involved in the shooting. He was arrested yesterday (25) in the Talahena area of the Malabe Police Division.
