Sri Lanka, Jan. 9 -- The Supreme Court will resume operations at the newly refurbished original Supreme Court building at the Superior Courts Complex with effect from January 26, 2026, the Registrar of the Supreme Court announced.

Accordingly, all courthouses, record rooms and other branches of the Supreme Court will function from the refurbished premises from that date.

The Supreme Court was temporarily relocated to the new MCC Building on Adhikarana Mawatha, Colombo 12, from January 15, 2025, to facilitate extensive refurbishment work at the Superior Courts Complex.
