Srilanka, May 16 -- Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) has named two international level athletes, Sumedha Ranasinghe and Nadeeka Lekamge as the Men's and Women's Captain for the 26th Asian Senior Athletic Championship 2025.
The meet, organised by the Asian Athletic and South Korean Athletic Association, is scheduled to be held in Gumi, South Korea from May 27 to 31 with the participation of 43 countries from the Asian region.
Rio Olympian (2016) Ranasingha and Hangzhou (2022) Asian Games silver medallist Lekamge will compete in the Men's and Women's javelin throw events.
Meanwhile, a squad of 20 athletes has been selected for this meet. The team has been nominated by SLA and has been submitted to the minister of sports for approval.
