Sri Lanka, Dec. 24 -- The Ministry of Women and Child Affairs has launched a post-disaster registration process to provide aid to women and children affected by Cyclone 'Ditwah'.

The ministry urged all affected individuals to submit their information by January 6, 2026, to ensure they receive timely support.

Officials said that all personal information will be kept strictly confidential and warned that providing false details could lead to disqualification from government assistance. For children under 18, submissions must be made by a parent or legal guardian. This initiative is part of the government's broader effort to deliver targeted relief to vulnerable groups impacted by the cyclone.
