Sri Lanka, May 21 -- Strict measures will be followed pertaining to questions raised under Standing Order 27(2) as party leaders have violated Standing Orders when raising such questions, Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne announced today.

"Some of the questions raised lately by the Opposition Leader and party leaders could have been raised in the form of oral questions or questions at the time of adjournment. Also, party leaders have violated Standing Orders lately by raising extra questions. Therefore, questions under Standing Orders 27(2) will have to be stircly adhered to Standing Orders," the Speaker said.
