Sri Lanka, Sept. 11 -- SriLankan Airlines resumed its operations to Nepal today (11) with the departure of flight UL-181 from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to Kathmandu, following the reopening of the Kathmandu International Airport by Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority.

SriLankan Airlines Manager Coprorate Communications, Deepal Perera, said the airline had suspended services to Nepal yesterday (10) after the closure of the airport due to the ongoing conflict in the country.

BIA officials confirmed that the airline had provided accommodation and hotel facilities to 35 excess passengers who had arrived yesterday expecting to travel to Kathmandu.
