Sri Lanka, March 10 -- Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka surpassed 37,000 within the first five days of March, according to provisional data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

A total of 37,768 international visitors arrived between 1 and 5 March, bringing the year-todate arrivals to 530,746.

Sri Lanka also marked a significant milestone, reaching the half-million tourist arrival mark on March 1, compared to mid-March in 2024.

SLTDA data indicates the daily average for March stands at 7,553 arrivals. The Russian Federation has emerged as the largest source market for Sri Lanka's tourism in March, accounting for 15.3 percent of total arrivals.
