Sri Lanka, Dec. 17 -- Sri Lanka's draft resolution on enhancing youth participation in environmental processes and education has been adopted at the Seventh Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) in Nairobi.

The resolution highlights the role of youth as key partners in tackling global environmental challenges and calls on Member States, the United Nations Environment Programme, and other stakeholders to ensure meaningful, inclusive participation of young people in environmental decision-making at all levels. It also emphasizes strengthening environmental education to equip present and future generations with the knowledge and skills to protect the environment.
