Sri Lanka, June 4 -- The country has recieved Foriegn Direct Investments (FDIs) amounting to USD 650 million in the first quarter of this year, Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti said today.

The Minister told Parliament that 64 projects as FDIs have come through the Board of Investments (BOI).

He said only 93 projects had come at a tune of USD 724 million in the whole year of 2024 while USD 483 million had come as FDIs in 2023.

The Minister said foriegn investors have begun to come to Sri Lanka as the country is free of fraud and corruption.
