Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- A powerful display ensured that the second semi-final spot from Group 1 of the Super Six remains up for the grabs.
Sri Lanka stay in the race for a semi-final spot at the ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup with a confident victory over South Africa in the Super Six. After restricting the Proteas to 261 for seven, the Lankan side rode on a Viran Chamuditha hundred to register a five-wicket win.
While Australia is already through to the final four, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are vying for the second qualifying spot from Group 1 of the Super Six. As things stand, Sri Lanka is second with six points, but Afghanistan (four points) has a match in hand and a superior net run-rate.
