Colombo, April 24 -- Sri Lanka will be able to reach a staff level agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the fourth review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement within this week, Minister of Labour Anil Jayantha Fernando said today.

He told the media that the Sri Lankan delegation that is currently visiting Washington is engaged in preliminary level discussions with the IMF team and that the discussions are successful.

He said Sri Lanka has launched a programme to achieve the criteria set by the IMF.
