Sri Lanka, May 12 -- The Sri Lanka Customs this evening thwarted an attempt by a female British national to enter the country with a massive Rs. 460 million worth of Kush consignment, thus making it the largest detection of the Cannabis variety in the airport history.

Customs Narcotic Control Unit officials attached to the Arrival Terminal of the Bandaranaike International Airport, on suspicion intercepted the female foreigner to seize the drugs.

Customs spokesperson Additional Director General Seevali Arukgoda told the Daily Mirror that the British national on board a SriLankan Airlines flight UL 405 from Bangkok, Thailand had arrived in the country around 3.45 pm.
