Sri Lanka, Dec. 15 -- In the wake of the attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath said Sri Lanka stands in solidarity with Australia and reaffirmed its strong opposition to terrorism in all its forms.

"Deeply saddened by the attack at Bondi Beach. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with Australia and reaffirm our strong opposition to terrorism in all its forms," the minister said.

The death toll from the attack has risen to 15, while 27 people remain hospitalized. A bystander who was caught on camera tackling the armed attacker is among those receiving treatment.
