Colombo, Nov. 2 -- Prime Minister and Education Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said special support will be provided to schools in challenging areas through the new education reform. She added that no problem is impossible to solve if the government, officials, and people work together.

She spoke during visits to the Kalkuda and Eravur Zonal Education Offices in Batticaloa District, where she met education officials, teachers, and parents to discuss preparations for the 2026 reforms.

"Batticaloa is a difficult area, even when it comes to school results. That's why we are focusing on giving extra support here," she said.
